Biography: The fourth generation Kapoor has already proven that he does belong to the first family of Bollywood, with varied performance in films from Saawariya to Rockstar.

Born to actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Ranbir Kapoor is the great grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor, grandson of Raj Kapoor, and nephew to Randhir Kapoor. He has a sister Riddhima. As a child, Kapoor studied at Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai and went on to pursue method acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.

Ranbir made his debut on the big screen in the year 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya, opposite Sonam Kapoor. Kapoor was then seen in 2008 in a romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno alongside Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. The film performed reasonably well at the box-office. It was during the shooting of this film that Ranbir had started dating Deepika Padukone. However, the couple later broke off.

In 2009, Kapoor appeared in three films all of which were distinct from one another. The first release was Ayan Mukerji’s Wake Up Sid, followed by rom-com Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Katrina Kaif. His last release in that year was Shimit Amin’s Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year. The film showcased Ranbir in a complete Sikh avatar. Though the film didn’t do well at the box office, his performance was appreciated.

Kapoor began 2010 with Prakash Jha’s political drama Raajneeti. The film was a blockbuster and had been appreciated by audiences and critics alike. Although it was a multi-starrer with actors likes Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar and Manoj Bajpayee, Ranbir stood out with his performance. His next release was Anjaana Anjaani with Priyanka Chopra.The film failed to make a mark at the box-office.

In 2011, Ranbir was seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar opposite newcomer Nargis Fakhri. The film performed well at the box-office and Ranbir’s role as Janardhan/Jordan earned him a lot of critical appreciation and two Filmfare Awards.

Biography: Born on 21st September, 1980, in an iconic family which has given the country few of its best actors and actresses, Kareena Kapoor is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita. Her career received a setback in 2002 and 2003, all her movies, Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Jeena Sirf Merre Liye, Talaash: The Hunt Begins…, Khushi, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, LOC Kargil, were quite unsuccessful at the box-office. Her movies released in 2004 and 2005, Chameli, Yuva, Fida, Aitraaz, Dev, Hulchal, Bewafaa, Dosti: Friends Forever received a lukewarm response at the box-office. However, her roles in Chameli and Dev were critically acclaimed. In 2006, she starred in 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke, Omkara and did a cameo appearance in Don – The Chase Begins Again. Her portrayal of Dolly (based on Desdemona, from the Shakespearean play, Othello) received rave critical reviews.

The release of Jab We Met (2007) brought with it huge success and fan following. She delivered the role of a free spirited, fiery sikhni with gusto. Tashan, released in 2008, was a flop. Another release of 2008, Roadside Romeo, an animated movie from Yash Raj and Walt Disney Pictures had her lending her voice to the character of Laila. Kambakkht Ishq and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna both 2009 releases did not do so well, however Kurbaan and 3 Idiots which also released in the same year gained her nominations for Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She then appeared in the much stalled Milenge Milenge (2010). Karan Johar’s We Are Family (2010), a Hindi adaptation of Hollywood’s Stepmom (1998) saw her playing the role originally portrayed by the talented, Julia Roberts. The role won her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has been a part of the Golmaal series and has played a role in Golmaal Returns (2008) and was the leading lady in Golmaal 3 (2010).

In 2011, she was first seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One and later opposite Salman Khan in Bodyguard. Both these films did huge business at the box-office. In 2012, she was seen opposite Imran Khan in Karan Johar’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu which also did well at the box-office. Her upcoming films include Agent Vinod with beau Saif Ali Khan, Talaash with Aamir Khan and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine.

Shah Rukh Khan's Biography

My Name is Khan (2010) saw the hit combination of Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film received tremendous success at home as well as abroad.

In 1999, Shah Rukh Khan set up his Dreamz Unlimited, a production company in collaboration with Juhi Chawla and Aziz Mirza. Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), Asoka (2001) and Chalte Chalte (2003) were produced under this banner. In 2004, he set up another production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. In 2000, he starred in Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. The movies were moderately successful at the box-office. Salman’s role in Tere Naam (2003) got him critical acclamation and the movie was a box-office success. This successful run continued with Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2007) & No Entry (2005). Salaam-e-Ishq (2007) failed at the box office. However, Partner (2008) was a hit.

Wanted (2009) remains one of Salman’s blockbuster hits. But Main Aur Mrs. Khanna & London Dreams released in the same year did not do so well. And then Dabangg (2010) happened! The movie broke all box-office records, thus becoming the second highest grossing Indian movie of all time. Salman received the Star Screen Best Actor Award for the movie and was nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award as well.

Katrina Kaif's Dost Protocol: she says Salman is just a message away

Katrina Kaif's relationship status with Ranbir Kapoor may be complicated or even non-existent at present but at least the Dhoom: 3 actress has one alleged ex-boyfriend she can count on. In an interview, Katrina Kaif told Dainik bhaskar: "Salman Khan is always there, he is always just a message away. I am still very much in touch with him." Trouble in the Katrina-Ranbir paradise was reported after their recent holiday to New York and though they were spotted at Aamir Khan's some weeks ago - albeit arriving separately - they are believed to have spent Valentine's Day apart. Salman, on the other hand, is famously close to both Katrina as well as another ex-girlfriend, former model and actress Sangeeta Bijlani. And it's not just the muscle-bound Dabangg star who watches out for Katrina, the entire Khan-daan does. "We are the only family she has here. She gets pulled up by me, my sister, my father, my mother. And she has to listen, she's good at listening," Salman told NDTV in 2012, a day before the blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger - starring Salman and Katrina - released. Bipasha Basu: Harman and I are a couple

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has decided to come clean about her romance with actor Harman Baweja a day after she stonewalled questions from the press saying she would be attending the IIFA awards alone and that she was waiting for "an eligible bachelor." This morning, Bipasha wrote on Twitter: Stating the obvious!Yes Harman n Me r a couple :) Finally I have met a person who is a far better human being than I am.Blessed. Bipasha and Harman have been rumoured to be in a relationship for a while now and are even said to have wedding plans for this year. Biapasha, however, announced at the IIFA press conference yesterday: "I am waiting for a proposal." Harman earlier admitted he was dating the Dhoom: 2 actress. "Our starting to see each other was very organic. Barring the fitness factor, we are very similar. She is a simple, straight-forward and honest girl who is caring and loving. For both of us, family and friends mean the most in the world and we are both emotional, caring and simple," Harman said. Bipasha previously dated actor John Abraham for nine years. John married his fiancee Priya Runchal in a secret wedding last month.

Sanjay Dutt gets another extension in parole

Actor Sanjay Dutt's parole has been extended by another 30 days. The actor has been out of jail on parole due to his wife Maanayata's illness for the last two months. Pune Divisional Commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh confirmed saying, "the extension has been given to the actor after the police submitted a medical report of his wife Maanayata Dutt, who is not well and is under treatment." He however added, "after this there will be no more extension." Days after actor Sanjay Dutt asked for a further extension on his parole citing his wife Maanayata's illness, Dutt had initially requested for a further one-month extension on his parole. Sanjay Dutt came out on parole on December 21, 2013. He was supposed to go back into Yerawada jail on January 21, but his parole was extended to February 21. He then asked for a further extension to be by his wife's side. According to rules, a convict gets a maximum of 90-days parole, of which Sanjay Dutt has finished 60 days.
